The objective of Zita Fernandez’s website was to create a digital presence that truly reflects her approach to art direction and brand design: timeless, refined, and confident, with a contemporary edge. The platform needed to function both as a curated portfolio and as a flexible tool able to evolve alongside her work and client base.
A key part of the project was the migration from WordPress to Webflow, allowing for significantly easier maintenance, faster updates, and complete autonomy in managing content without technical friction. This shift provided a more stable, performant foundation while preserving a high level of visual precision.
The design direction focuses on clarity and longevity. Clean layouts, careful typography, and subtle animations were introduced to enhance rhythm and depth without distracting from the work itself. Smooth page transitions reinforce the feeling of continuity and elevate the browsing experience, aligning the interface with Zita’s positioning in the luxury and premium brand space.
To support rich visual storytelling, videos are hosted on Bunny using HLS streaming, enabling adaptive rendering based on the user’s connection speed. This ensures consistent performance and optimal loading times, regardless of device or location.
From a structural standpoint, the website is built on a modular design system combined with a CMS-driven architecture. This allows Zita to select different layouts depending on the nature of each project, whether branding, art direction, or visual identity, while maintaining overall coherence. The result is a scalable, elegant platform that offers both creative freedom and long-term durability.
